The Euskadi – Palestine match: Sports and international solidarity
Sports training in the Basque Country is not only linked to physical performance, but also to social commitment. A clear example is the upcoming friendly match between the national teams of Euskadi and Palestine, which will take place at San Mamés and is already generating significant media and public attention. It is expected to be much more than just a sporting event.
The main goal of the match is to raise awareness about the situation of the Palestinian people and to collect funds for humanitarian aid projects. The Basque team, by reaffirming its commitment to universal values such as peace and solidarity, will serve as a voice for a cause that goes beyond borders.
In this context, FIT Learning wanted to contribute as a collaborating entity for the event. Through an agreement with the Basque Football Federation, FIT acquired a set of official Euskadi team shirts, customized with its logo. All profits generated from this initiative will be donated to support the Palestinian people.
Training to transform: FIT Learning’s commitment to Basque sports
This solidarity initiative adds to the work that FIT Learning has been carrying out in the Basque Country for years. The company leads numerous training projects in the field of sports, with a special focus on child protection and the professionalization of the sector.
One of the most notable programs is the training on child protection in sports, with more than 30,000 coaches trained in collaboration with the Basque Government and Basque Team. In addition, FIT Learning is implementing the mandatory first aid training, which must be renewed every three years according to the Law 8/2022 on Sports Professions of the Basque Country. This training is currently available through the official Basque Team website: https://basqueteam.eus/
FIT Learning is also developing training pathways for the common modules of sports activities (levels 1, 2, and 3) in institutions such as ASFEDEBI and EKFB, with more than 2,000 people trained in the last year alone. These initiatives address the new legal and professional needs of the sector, positioning FIT Learning as a key agent in the transformation of Basque sports.
